I entertained the idea that it was staged/faked, even re-watched the film Capricorn 1. The most compelling "evidence" for the hoax though cannot overcome the fact that 400,000 people worked on Apollo and between Canaveral and Space Flight there were over 1,000 people who worked mission systems and had direct access to the incoming data including the CSM and LEM's telemetry data which cannot have been "faked".
If you're ever in Huntsville, visit the Marshall Space Flight Center and stand under the reconstructed Saturn V.
The Smithsonian Air Flight Museum has an actual LM that never flew but would have been on Apollo 19. To have constructed that so Stanley Kubrick could film it on a soundstage and con the entire human race is beyond fantastical, it's down right ___________!
