Good Morning TKD! Just last night I sent this message to two friends in Canada, sharing the joy of prayer. Pray I communicated my heart clearly. We need more voices calling to Heaven:
“O Antiphons. Meditations. If this is what humans can do, the singing of angels in heaven is incomprehensibly more beautiful. The extra natural eternal spirit dimension is worth the slog through this messy world on the narrow path.
The four types of prayer, from least to greatest, are
1. All glory be to God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
2. Sorrowful repentances for our sins that wound and offend God and make Our Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, sad and tearful.
3. Gratitude for all of God's Grace and Mercy for we who do not deserve it. Gratitude for Jesus sacrifice an suffering for our redemption.
4. Our earthly suffering we offer back to Him as our meager repayment for what He did to save us from the damnation of original sin. The selfless offering up of our suffering with the intention to save souls other than our own.
That humility of the heart is the greatest gift we unworthy humans can offer up. Jesus showed us the way. Unconditional love makes this suffering bearable. It is the perfect love thy through eternity triumphs over the fallen.
That sense of being ready always to die for His love is the ultimate peace. The chance for eternity in the perfect love in the presence of our Creator.
The only box that I will ever be in is going to be the one for my lifeless mortal carriage after my last breath on this world.
This is prayer. Not some rote verbal exercise. There is structure to guide us at the times we don't know what to say, but the Holy Ghost hears us and knows our true heart.
Enjoy the preview of eternity. The light emanating from God is indescribable. I got a tiny moment of it in a dream around Easter 2005: completely unworthy to get it, hadn't been to any church regularly since leaving grade school in 1974. Except for weddings, funerals and Baptisms of friends and family.
You are called and welcomed with open arms. To those with eyes to see.”
