The Question Everyone Wants Answered, Answered: This Will All End in Tears
Adolfus Biden Is The Symptom of Satanic Rule In The West As New Christendom Dawns In The East
“This will end in tears. The Obama hysteria is not merely embarrassing to witness, it is itself contributory to the scale of the disaster that is coming. What we are experiencing, in the deepening days of a global depression, is the desperate suspension of disbelief by people of intelligence – la trahison des clercs – in a pathetic effort to hypnotise themselves into the delusion that it will be all right on the night. It will not be all right.” - Gerald Warner on the eve of Dear Leader Obama’s Inauguration
People have been proclaiming the land of fruits and nuts as a “post-Christian” wasteland; many say the same for New Tenochtitlan which has the new distinction of having selected then selected concurrent, infanticide obsessed catholics. The point no one will commit to paper about this is easy to spot but apparently nearly impossible to chisel into pixels: those abominations cannot happen in a “Christian state”. Full stop. It can’t and it won’t at some point in the future. Even Henry VIII’s divortuarium that England became was spared consecutive Cuomo-Hochul wannabe monsters as it coasted on the fumes of the Bishop of Rochester and Saint Thomas Moore’s graces. To this day, 495 years on, merry England has never recovered her Faith thus it is pure folly to believe that ‘Muricah, that never had The Faith, will recover hers and this is one of two points of this essay. First, the ‘post-Christianity”, Christian must not pine for recovery but for the future based jewel that is Conversion and Second, Star Trek TNG’s series finale had it right: “All Good Things…”
The Dark Winter is coming and it will happen under the smoldering remains of the U.S. Constitution and there is nothing that can be done to stop it. But it didn’t have to be this way.
Back In The Day…
At the end of the Federal Convention of 1787, the man Thomas Jefferson called “the wisest man of his generation, George Mason wrote a letter to Convention President George Washington, in that letter Mason prophesied the gubbmint of today which was the gubbmint of Lincoln, Wilson, FDR, Truman, Johnson, Nixon, Clinton, Bush x 2, Obama and now Adolfus or is it Adoofus Biden.
The President of the United States has no constitutional council (a thing unknown in any safe and regular government.) he will therefore be unsupported by proper information and advice; and will generally be directed by minions and favorites—or he will become a tool to the Senate—or a council of state will grow out of the principal officers of the great departments—the worst and most dangerous of all ingredients for such a council, in a free country; for they may be induced to join in any dangerous or oppressive measures, to shelter themselves, and prevent an inquiry into their own misconduct in office. Whereas, had a constitutional council been formed (as was proposed) of six members, viz., two from the eastern, two from the middle, and two from the southern states, to be appointed by vote of the states in the House of Representatives with the same duration and rotation of office as the Senate, the executive would always have had safe and proper information and advice; the president of such a council might have acted as Vice-President of the United States, pro tempore, upon any vacancy or disability of the chief magistrate; and long continued sessions of the Senate, would in a great measure have been prevented. From this fatal defect of a constitutional council, has arisen the improper power of the Senate, in the appointment of the public officers, and the alarming dependence and connexion between that branch of the legislature and the supreme executive. Hence, also, sprung that unnecessary officer, the Vice-President, who, for want of other employment, is made President of the Senate; thereby dangerously blending the executive and legislative powers; besides always giving to some one of the states an unnecessary and unjust pre-eminence over the others.
Mason, who is the ghost author of Jefferson’s Declaration wasn’t a prophet, he was a student of British & European history. He knew that Henry’s revolt and England’s “glorious revolution” of 1688 had produced an England where.
“…this vast [British] empire on which the sun never sets, and whose bounds nature has not yet ascertained.”
Mason, like his friend Patrick Henry, also knew that forming the then conquered land mass of North ‘Muricah into, in Henry’s words…
“…this empire of America”
Without the benefit of strong, temperament —read Christian, though Mason, “a good whig”, would never admit such a thing— King, steeped in tradition and backed by nobles of similar temperament, could never be restrained by a mere “constitution” even a written one, thus he concluded in his letter to GW.
This government will commence in a moderate aristocracy; it is at present impossible to foresee whether it will, in its operation, produce a monarchy, or a corrupt oppressive aristocracy; it will most probably vibrate some years between the two, and then terminate in the one or the other.
I should note here that an aristocracy requires aristocrats and our pedo-sex Cult of Death elite cannot be bothered with the virtues of chivalry, much less pursuing the honor of the Noblesse Oblige, that makes aristocrats. Thus our elite rulers are not aristocrats but rather the corrupted, evil version of them, oligarchs. Still, Mason’s prediction has come true and the “oppressive” part is metastasizing at CoronaDoom™ lockdown speeds and there does not seem to be any force, equally violent, to slow it down. It’s inertia is now sufficient to carry its larded-down purveyors over what they think is the green “finish line”: a truly authoritarian state composed of not just the political authoritarians but those of the 5th Estate media and corporate variety who were the primary “executioners” of authoritarian policies during the Doom’s Lockdown 1.0. Lockdown 2.0, your penance for making greenhouse gases, is scheduled for mid-November and the assets (rather the lack of them) needed to execute it have been pre-positioned: famine, foraging and freezing.
Dear Reader, I now come to the boastful statement made in the title of this article, The Answer: There is no turning back for the ruling oligarchs. The hulking super-tanker they’ve made of The State simply cannot change course and undo the damage they intentionally inflicted to supply chains and manufacturing bases. They’ve made this authoritarian war bed and now we get to lie in it and battle its objects of famine, foraging and freezing. For tens of millions, “this will all end in tears.”
The task now, I believe, is to take up the work of the founders and avoid the faults of the written constitution system that George Mason and all the “Anti-Federalists” (a term nominalists of the day used with diabolical skill) warned of but approach it at the micro level. Some parts of ‘Muricah are going to go “Mad Max” and there is nothing men and women of good will can do about it outside of prayer and fasting for their individual conversions to The Faith.
But where to start? Mary Harrington, writing from the UK has identified a primary cause of the utter destruction of the last 20 years and the resulting rise of the authoritarian state: social media. No, for realz:
We can also kiss goodbye to the “marketplace of ideas”. This might have seemed plausible when everyone aspired to long-form, deliberative, rationalism and a broadly shared moral framework. When these are things of the past, we all absorb disaggregated, de-contextualised snippets of information at speed, our reading material rewards us for not concentrating long enough to think something through, and we can see everyone else thinking in real time on our screens?
Well, it turns out that this makes “the marketplace of ideas” much more volatile, infectious, and politicised, and accordingly less willing to notice politically inconvenient facts. That is, less a vector for collective truth-seeking than an accelerant for conspiracy fantasy, purity spirals and unhinged meme wars. And this is chipping away at faith in the capacity of debate to make anything better.
In its place we find a growing tendency for political change to be driven by campaigning bodies that aim not to win by debating, but to do so by setting the parameters within which democratic political debate is able to take place. Whether it’s creating guidelines, writing school curricula, influencing legislation or shaping international standards or treaties, such activity takes place, by definition, prior to democratic deliberation.
Harrington, no doubt a “good whig”, reaches a conclusion similar to mine, above.
If I’m right, this will continue to get worse wherever networked reading is replacing the deep print-era kind. As this happens, we should expect tensions to grow, too, between generations with wildly divergent worldviews. This gulf also has a material component and complex downstream implications. This week, 10 Downing Street welcomed its fourth Tory premier in six years, every one of whom was chosen by Tory Party members skewed toward that older section of the British population that still mostly believes in democratic politics. And first move by the latest incumbent in this slippery seat has been to pile yet more debt on younger taxpayers – the group that increasingly doesn’t. Something will, eventually, give.
But, recall Gerald Warner’s promise at the start of this essay that this will not be all good on the night. It’s not going away and it’s incapable of healing itself. The raw intellectual material to do so simply does not exist. Harrington, sorrowfully concludes.
It’s my sincere wish that our democratic ships will find a way to right themselves. But my fear is that they won’t. More than Trumpists, censorious students, anti-racists or whichever other group you view as political enemies, to my eye it’s the end of the print era that is the greatest threat to “democracy”. And the time to have done anything about it was around 30 years ago, when the first commercial ISPs launched.
Too late now. I suspect it’ll be a while yet before we see definitively what liberal democracy morphs into under digital conditions. But whether its aesthetics owe more to the Red or Blue Tribe, or to something else altogether, I predict the following: post-democracy will retain democracy-like rituals, but actual politics will happen well upstream of voting. And where such regimes exercise power directly, this will be couched in impersonal procedure that impedes direct accountability even as it enables more frankly authoritarian policies. In truth, the contours of this order are already visible: think of international treaties on emissions, Covid lockdowns across Europe, or Justin Trudeau ending the truckers’ protest by freezing protesters’ bank accounts.
And there is much more “freezing” on tap, Mary. Let us return to the beginning and George Mason’s objections to the U.S. Constitution he helped frame.
“I take the liberty to enclose to you my objections to the new Constitution of government, which a little moderation and temper at the end of the convention might have removed…. You will readily observe, that my objections are not numerous (the greater part of the enclosed paper containing reasonings upon the probable effects of the exceptionable parts), though in my mind some of them are capital ones.”
The “capital ones” have now fully matured making the system this continent toils under “an oppressive aristocracy” that is animated by a lust for death and the screams of the innocent. There is no recovery from this. Your and my friends and families in far away states will become prisoners of authoritarian regimes that will have real borders closed citizens of Christian counties. Grusesom Gavin Newsome, Elizabeth Warren and Hateful Kate Hochul Satan’s Apostle are diabolical pioneers of this. To admit this is prudent to deny it, possibly lethal.
But we don’t have to lie in the the bed of Three F’s nor be forced into any common cause with Authoritarian American State. The Christian’s hope is not in affairs of the state but in the affairs of hearth, home and communion rail.
A blessed feast of the Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary to you.
