And then there’s an introduction by Vivian Gornick.

I’m just scrolling through this because I must confess, I am completely gobsmacked by that this book actually exists. How many of you in the audience had ever heard of this? Okay, Scum Manifesto. I’m just trying to get to chapter one. Finally, life in this society being
at best an utter bore and no aspect, this is chapter one, sentence one, and no aspect of a viety being at all relevant to women, there remains to civic-minded, responsible, thrill-seeking females only to overthrow the government, eliminate the money system, institute complete automation, and destroy the male sex.
You know what’s funny about that? Remember that soundbite that I play from Patricia Ireland? The one where she denied back in the 90s what the definition of feminism is? And here it is. What in God’s name is plain? Hold on. What in the world do I have going on here? Hold on.
