• The Sunflower – I am a writer and I love symbolism, heliotropism directional growth to the sun! At time of harvest the tops are bent w/ the heavy seeds which reminds me of a mother about to give birth.

• Iris is the sword of sorrows – they have that long heavy stalk

• Lavender – associated w/ legend that Mary put Jesus’ clothes on the first plant and that is why it smells so fragrant. 

• We live on a 55 acre farm in Kentucky.
